1. Mesto cookies

mesto_guest_identity: Signed HttpOnly identifier linking personal journeys and saved scenarios only in this browser. SameSite=Lax; up to 180 days.
mesto_current_journey: Signed HttpOnly identifier for the currently selected personal journey. SameSite=Lax; up to 180 days.
session / CSRF: The framework may create a short-lived session value to protect forms against forged requests. It lasts for the session or the technically necessary period.

These cookies are not used for advertising, cross-site tracking, or marketing profiles. They are necessary for explicitly requested features and security, so we do not rely on consent for them.

2. Temporary browser storage

Calculators use sessionStorage keys such as mesto:calculator-draft:purchase:v1 and mesto:calculator-draft:mortgage:v1 to restore unfinished inputs after a refresh. The draft remains only in the current browser tab, disappears when the session ends, and is cleared by Start over. It is not sent to us unless you expressly calculate or save the scenario.

3. External resources

Google Fonts and jsDelivr currently deliver fonts and MapLibre code, while OpenFreeMap supplies style and map tiles on map pages. We do not use them for our own advertising or analytics and do not set their cookies, but the browser request discloses the IP address, URL/referrer according to browser settings, and technical headers to the respective provider.

4. Managing storage

You can delete cookies and storage through browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent personal journeys, saved scenarios, or protected forms from working. If optional analytics or advertising is introduced in future, it will not activate before a consent choice and this notice will be updated.
